Helping our Environment
Gas and Oil Prices Continue to Rise
According to the International Energy Agency, global energy consumption is projected to rise 50% by the year 2030. Energy prices will probably go up within this time period since the extraction of fossil fuels is getting increasingly complex and thus more expensive.
Burning fossil fuels produces carbon dioxide (CO2). The emission of long-lasting greenhouse gases, particularly CO2, is a leading cause of global warming and the resulting threat to the climate worldwide.
Global warming can be attenuated through the replacement of fossil raw materials, renewable energy sources, more efficient energy use and energy conservation measures. The technological means needed to do so are available.
Efficient energy production is the key to a sustainable energy supply.
